Corporate Information

Mustard 21 Canada Inc. is a Non-Profit Corporation, which was incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act on May 28, 2009 and registered in the Province of Saskatchewan on September 15, 2009 with the following Corporate Objectives:

  • Develop and implement strategic priorities and programs in key areas to enhance mustard production and value added products.
  • Proactively secure and utilize resources to support programs for the development of condiment mustards and dedicated industrial oilseed crop i.e. Brassica carinata.
  • Implement a mustard breeding strategy with long-term resource support from AAFC, Provinces and other funding agencies.
  • Strengthen relationships with other grower organizations pursuing complementary objectives.

M21 philosophy is to leverage its very limited annual resource from the founding members CMA and SMDC investment. The M21 Board has been very prudent in managing its resources by following the guideline of not supporting overhead contribution of research providers.
